Riesling from a 50-year-old vineyard in Deidesheim, made in collaboration with Seckinger. It is named “Clos” because the vineyard is enclosed by a wall, a feature more commonly associated with parts of France.
The wine is a blend of two vintages. One part comes from 2024 and was aged for 18 months in a small used barrel without topping up and maturing under flor. The other part comes from 2025. It was also direct-pressed and spent eight months in a small used barrel, bringing a more reductive character to the blend.
This wine rewards a little patience. Give it some time in a decanter and it opens up with notes of lemon peel and fresh citrus.
