Max sein Wein
We are very happy to have Max's wines in our selection now.
Max worked and learned at Judith Beck and Gut Oggau before he came back to his family winery to start making his own wines the way he imagines them. While still working at Gut Oggau, with the help of his family he made his first own vintage in 2016.
Max gives his wines plenty of time in the cellar and matures them around 9–10 months in wood. He likes to play with different techniques, his Blanc is partly carbonic maceration, partly skin macerated and partly direct pressed.
For us, Max is a master of cuveés: Blanc is a mix of Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner and a bit of Gewürztraminer. An aromatic, fruity, fresh, exciting wine. Trio Sauvage is Silvaner, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay melting together to one beautiful flower which is developing more and more over time.
Silvaner is his favourite grape and Les Autochtones comes from his oldest parcels and is his most elegant wine.
