Nénu - Rasmus Aamand
We got introduced to Rasmus from a good friend in common. After we tried his small selection of three wines, we immediately got fascinated by his precise, clean and really beautiful wines. Rasmus is trained as a neurobiologist and worked as such in Denmark before he moved to Banyuls-sur-Mer in France to become a wine maker. His approach is a mix between scientific and playful while searching for quality and perfection. Everything for him starts in vineyards where he looks out for low PH levels in the vines. This paves the way to be able to use as little sulphur as possible, but Rasmus is not fanatic about using zero sulphur. In 2018 Rasmus already lost a whole vintage of wine by experimenting with zero sulphur but the vines where not ready for it yet. We endorse his curiosity and search for perfection. His wines very well capture this spirit and we are more than curious about what is to come.
