Caroline makes wine in Rochefort-sur-Loire, where she shares a cellar with her partner Jérôme Saurigny. The pair first met over a decade ago, when Caroline was working in the film industry in Paris. At the time she preferred beer over wine but when Jérôme poured her a glass from one of his bottles, she was pleasantly surprised!

Caroline started making wine in 2020, just 0.3 ha of Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc along with hybrid grapes from some wild vines, and with the addition of négoce grapes when needed. A warm and positive character, Caroline’s creative energy is reflected not only in her wines but in the labels which she draws and designs for both her own and Jérôme’s bottles. She takes an intuitive approach to winemaking, leaving room for experimentation with a refreshing open mindedness.

We are thrilled to bring Caroline’s wines to Germany for the first time.
