Altro is made with grapes from the same plots as Goccia rosso, which are traditionally planted with vines of different varieties using albarello training (gobelet), in this case a mix that ranges from white to dark red.

Altro is the counterpart to Goccia rosso. After the Nerello Mascalese has been harvested for Goccia rosso, all of the remaining grapes were used for Altro; hence the name and the crossed out ‘Nerello Mascalese’ on the label.

It is surprisingly dark, given the fact that there are white varieties in the mix, a bit deeper in colour and flavour than Goccia rosso.
