What Hannah says:
The same vinification of the same Cinsault as in aQueuX 21 (also in dAY gLOw) but in 22 hence ‘aQueuX-deUx’ which I think is a great name the gr8ness of which the French don’t seem to get, or maybe it’s my accent // French. Anyway, all that to say this is the first time I have a second edition of a wine! Like how real winemakers do!
Also this will be the last time as the grower decided to keep his grapes.
I am only 1/2 joking when I call this my poor man’s Plousard. Poor, because Cinsault from the Herault doesn’t have the caché of actual Plousard from the Jura, and only 1/2 a joke because it half tastes like it does.
It’s floral and fluid and fluo-pink but with enough of a vegetable backbone that makes even me, a definite non expert in time (see: intro) believe it will do well with time. If you manage to save it! Which is technically why people put wine into magnums in the first place, unlike this person who put it into magnum to share.
Some trivia my first wow wine was – yes – a Plousard from the – yes – Jura, which is very possibly likely the reason all my red wines are turning pink
