Here is what Pauline and Carl say about their Chardonnay:

Our Chardonnay vineyard is placed on a southfacing slope in our Mandeler Schlossberg. The vines grow on a combination of loam and yellow sand, giving it a smooth, balanced character. After direct pressing of the grapes, one part of this wine fermented in stainless steel to work rather reductively. The other part fermented in oak, in young 300 l barrels. We decided for those two different ways and vessels to learn how our Chardonnay develops depending on the surrounding and home of the wines during fermentation and maturing and how that influences the character. The one in stainless steel turned out to be very focussed and has some more fruit. The parts from the barrels are more round, more grounded, more soothing with a slight influence of the wood. When we tasted them, they were most beautiful together, so we decided that they will become one in this first-ever GLOW GLOW Chardonnay
