This Silvaner shows just how great this Franconian grape variety can be. The vines are between 40 and 65 years old, with roots reaching deep into the Keuper soils.
It’s a great example of what Keuper can taste like – crisp and spicy, with plenty of herbs. The grapes were pressed in an old basket press and fermented in old oak barrels, then bottled after nine months on the lees.
