Barbba is a co-fermentation of two white varieties, Debit and Marastina, and two red, Plavina and Lasin. Comparatively, for the region, these are young vines - ranging from 15 - 60 years old. The grapes are macerated for less than an afternoon, and the must is fermented all together in open vats before ageing for 9 months in fibreglass. This is a great all-rounder wine: fresh and light as cherry juice but with strong character. Enjoy chilled, with dreams of the Adriatic Sea.
