"Madonna" – Trossen’s most famous site. The wine it produces is a classic. But 2019 turned out very different: a hot autumn made the grapes shrivel up and the many sugars could not be fully converted into alcohol.
What’s the result? A drinkable Beerenauslese with 110 Oechsle und 42 grams of residual sugar. Unsulphured! So far, greats like Pierre Weyand, Patrick Desplats or Pierre Beauger have managed to do that.
