What Olivier, Yves and Yoshi say:
This wine is the result of a 2-week maceration of Poulsard/Chardonnay grapes from Villette-les-Arbois (20%) and Gamay grapes from the Beaujolais area (80%). Our friend, winegrower Nicolas Boudier (Villette-les-Arbois), only harvested 100 kilos in 2021 because his vineyard was severely burnt by the frost! That left Yoshinori to compensate the shortfall from Nicolas’ grapes by taking 400 kilos of destemmed Gamay grapes, prepared the day before, out of our Vinum Bibo cuvée from Saint-Germain-des-Nouelles. The predominant nose of this wine is the fruity scent of Poulsard. Once the wine is in your mouth the freshness of Chardonnay and the vegetal and rustic, but balanced taste of Gamay comes through to complete the tasting. Yoshinori has done it again! He has spoiled us with this quite original blend of grape varieties and his wine making. So delicate and fresh!
