The 2020 Cuvée Fleur is made from Mourvèdre 50%, Grenache Noir 50%. For us Fleur is a authentic and defined full body red wine, like a person who goes twice a week to the gym. On the nose lots of wild herbs next to black olives. On the palate dark fruits, again spices and salty lemon. Well balanced with acidity and fine tannins. And absolutely clean!
Notes from Rasmus himself: Fruit-weighted finesse wrapped in age-worthy tannins. The Syrah grapes harvested below 10 vol and macerated for 4 days to balance the alcohol of my old Grenache field. The old terraced Grenache Noir vineyard carries the principal taste notes to this wine. It’s always complex tannins and easy fruit in a buttery profile. Our north east facing Mourvèdre, adds a fuller roundness to the mouth and a touch of deeper fruit notes to the palate. A joy to drink and a wine with a great ageing potential. Decanting does wonders for this cuvée.
No filtering or fining. 10 mg/l SO2 in total. Nothing else.
