What Karo and Max from Makalié say:
A very special vineyard and our creative playground – our paradise garden. Here Müller Thurgau (60%), Gutedel (30%) and Pinot Noir (10%) ripen in the nature reserve next to old fruit trees, wild herbs and flowers. They merge into a unique mixed set from the amphora – the paradise.
A lively wine, mineral in the nose, with complex aromas unfolding in the glass: you are immersed in a bright variety of aromas of elderflower, lychee, apple, green tea, pear, quince, cardamom and herbs. On the palate, the mixed set is sparse, chalky, yet elegant. The salty lightness with a fine tannin structure gives the Paradis a freshness without being bitter. A magical vineyard – an exotic wine. A skin contact wine but not an orange wine.
