What Karo and Max from Makalié say:
Our Chapelle thrives on the old, unlanded Ölberg in the nature reserve in Ehrenstetten. Above, just a stone's throw away, is the Ölberg Chapel. With a tight structure, straight lines and finely dancing, it shows a lot of potential for the future.
In the nose you can feel a cool but ripe fruit of plum and cherry. With a little more air, even more spice is revealed, such as juniper, which makes the wine shine. The whole grape portion gives freshness and complexity. The Chapelle impresses on the palate
– or rather the Chapelle – immediately through a fine, silky femininity with just such a fragrance of delicate flowers like violets. A filigree smokiness of the well-integrated wood rounds off the bouquet. At the same time, the tannins are gripping and, together with the chalky minerality, give a long finish.
