For us, this Riesling is already a classic of german natural wine. Is was the first wine Bianka and Daniel made in 2012 and it was one of the first wines we had on the shelf too.

The grapes come from several vineyards in Monsheim, Flörsheim-Dahlsheim and Kriegsheim. In Monsheim, the grapes come from the same site as those for the Riesling M, but are harvested 6–8 weeks earlier in a pre-harvest. Grapes are directly pressed in whole bunches and the wine matures in big 1200 and 3000 l wooden barrels on full lees for 9–12 months.

The style of this wine has significantly evolved with the Schmitts over the last few years. We still love it. 2020 is animating, fresh and crisp like a green apple.
